Odoo 20 Official Pricing 2026: Standard vs Custom, and What the New Features Mean for Your Budget

One App Free, Standard, Custom: Odoo's three official pricing tiers, their exact euro prices, and why Odoo 20's new features (AI agents, external API) often require the Custom tier.

Odoo 20 reaches general availability in mid-October 2026, following its announcement at Odoo Experience (September 24-26, Brussels). Before switching, the budget question is concrete: which pricing tier unlocks the new features (Owl 3, JSON-2 API, AI agents), and what does it actually cost per user? Here are the official prices as published on odoo.com/pricing.

One App Free: The Free Tier

The One App Free tier gives access to a single Odoo application, with unlimited users, hosted on Odoo Online. It's enough to test one isolated module (CRM alone, for example), but not enough once several applications need to talk to each other.

Standard: $13.50 to $16.90 per User per Month

The Standard tier gives access to every Odoo application, hosted on Odoo Online. The advertised price ($13.50/user/month) is a 12-month introductory discount on the initial users ordered; it renews at $16.90/user/month afterward. That's the detail to check before signing — the headline price is not the price you'll pay in year two.

Custom: $20.40 to $25.50 per User per Month

The Custom tier includes everything in Standard plus what most of Odoo 20's technical new features depend on:

  • External API access (required for the JSON-2 API featured in Odoo 20)
  • Odoo Studio, to build views and automations without development
  • Multi-company support
  • Choice of hosting: Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, or on-premise

Same pricing pattern as Standard: $20.40/user/month in year one, renewing at $25.50/user/month.

What's Included in Every Paid Tier

  • Unlimited hosting, backups and maintenance
  • Email support Monday to Friday, available in multiple languages
  • Free access to the Odoo e-learning platform
  • Software updates at no extra cost

Which Tier for Odoo 20's New Features?

The AI agents and JSON-2 API access announced for Odoo 20 rely on external API access — restricted to the Custom tier. A company on Standard that wants to use these features will need to upgrade tiers, which roughly moves the per-user bill from ~$15 to ~$23 a month on average across the two advertised prices. Across 20 users, that gap is about $1,900/year on licensing alone, before any implementation cost.

The Promotional Price Trap

Both paid tiers show a promotional price valid only for the first 12 months and only on the first users ordered. For a reliable multi-year budget, plan around the renewal price ($16.90 and $25.50), not the introductory one — the gap between the two is roughly 25% of the cost.
