Salesforce Launches Core, Advanced and Max: What the New Editions Mean for Your Budget
On September 3, 2026, Salesforce simplified — and raised — its pricing lineup: the historical editions (Enterprise, Unlimited, Agentforce 1...) are being replaced by three new tiers, Core, Advanced and Max, bundling Agentforce, Slack, Tableau Next, enterprise-grade security and the Premier Success Plan by default, under one price. Here's what that actually changes.
The 3 new editions' pricing
- Core: $195/user/month — 500,000 Flex Credits included
- Advanced: $395/user/month — 1 million Flex Credits included
- Max: $550/user/month — 2.75 million Flex Credits included (same price as the former Agentforce 1 Edition)
All three editions are available for Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service and Agentforce Industries. Every tier now includes Agentforce (AI agents), Slack with Slackbot, embedded agentic analytics (Tableau Next), enterprise-grade data security and a Premier Success Plan — previously, these pieces were purchased separately, SKU by SKU.
What changes for existing customers
Customers already on the legacy Agentforce 1 edition can upgrade to Max at no extra cost, with up to $500 in added value. Salesforce states that Max delivers 60% more value than the legacy Agentforce 1 Edition at the same price, and that Core and Advanced deliver 70% and 50% more value respectively than their historical equivalents. These figures come from Salesforce's own announcement — worth checking line by line against your current contract rather than taken at face value.
Timeline
The new Core, Advanced and Max editions have been available since September 3, 2026. New pricing for Agentforce Industry Editions is set to take effect later this fall — no exact date announced yet.
What this means for your Salesforce budget
- If you were on a legacy edition (Enterprise, Unlimited) without Agentforce: the new entry price (Core, $195/user/month) now bundles AI by default — compare it to your actual current edition + add-on cost before assuming it's more expensive
- If you were already on Agentforce 1: the move to Max is free and increases your Flex Credit allowance — worth activating now
- If you're negotiating a new contract: the old à-la-carte SKUs (Slack, Tableau, security as a separate add-on) are being phased out — the relevant comparison is now total cost per tier, not line-by-line add-ons
